A Solo Cycling Adventure Through Africa
Meryem Belkihel is a Moroccan adventurer who has been cycling through Africa for over two years. She left her home in Morocco and started riding south along the West African Coast. I spoke to her when she reached Cape Town to chat all about her experiences so far. But Cape Town is by no means her end destination, as she instead turns north to travel via the Eastern side of Africa, where she wants to reach Tanzania and climb Mt Kilimanjaro.
What I loved in my discussion with Meryem was learning about her style of travel. Slowly, and always on the most scenic roads, especially if it involves mountain climbs.
